Refund Policy
We want you to be confident in your subscription. This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and billing corrections work.
1. How billing works
Modellot subscriptions are billed through Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all payment processing, invoicing, and sales tax on our behalf. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your contract for payment is with Paddle, not directly with Modellot AB.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose. Prices are displayed in EUR.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period — you are not charged again after cancellation.
- You retain full access to paid features until the billing period ends.
- After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free tier. Your blueprints, contracts, and data remain intact — you do not lose any work.
- To cancel, go to your account settings within Modellot or contact us at privacy@modellot.com.
3. Refund policy
Because Modellot is a digital service with immediate access upon subscription, we generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. However, we want you to be satisfied with the service:
- Within 14 days of your first paid subscription — if you are not satisfied, contact us at privacy@modellot.com and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
- Billing errors — if you were charged incorrectly (duplicate charge, wrong amount, charged after cancellation), contact us and we will correct it and issue a refund promptly.
- Extended service outage — if Modellot is unavailable for an extended period that materially affects your use, we will offer a pro-rata credit or refund for the affected period.
- Annual subscriptions — if you cancel an annual subscription within 14 days of purchase, you are entitled to a full refund. After 14 days, cancellation takes effect at the end of the annual period and no partial refund is issued.
4. How refunds are processed
Refunds are processed through Paddle using the same payment method you used to subscribe. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or payment provider.
If you paid via invoice, the refund will be issued as a credit note.
5. Founding member programme
Founding members who subscribed at the 50% lifetime discount are subject to the same refund policy. The 14-day satisfaction guarantee applies equally. If a founding member cancels and later resubscribes, the founding member discount may no longer be available.
6. Free tier
The Free tier is provided at no cost and does not involve any billing. No refund applies to the Free tier. If you are on the Free tier and wish to stop using Modellot, you may simply delete your account from your account settings.
7. EU consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). For digital content supplied immediately upon purchase, you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service is made available, provided you gave prior express consent.
Notwithstanding this, our 14-day satisfaction guarantee (section 3) provides you with equivalent protection. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under mandatory applicable law.
8. Disputes
If you are unhappy with how a refund request was handled, contact us at privacy@modellot.com and we will work to resolve it. You may also contact Paddle's support team directly at paddle.net.
For disputes involving small amounts, you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
